Make sure you have the minimum recommended hardware. 2. Run the SETUP.EXE program located on your installation disk as administrator, or grant the current user “installation” access rights on the target host. 3. Follow setup instructions, entering appropriate information at each prompt. 4. Create user-specific program group folders as desired, or move application program group to the ‘All Users’ start menu. From Downloaded File(s): 1. Make sure you have the minimum recommended hardware. 2. Run the self-extracting archive, MSI, or extract the zip files and run the SETUP.EXE program. Note: Users running Windows® NT service pack 5 or earlier should restart their machine before continuing application configuration to ensure update of the Microsoft Custom Controls Library. System DSN Configuration (Automatically configured in the MSI package) 1. Make sure you are logged in as administrator, or have administration rights to the target host. 2. Run the client application by double-clicking its icon or from the Windows® Start menu. 3. Under the main menu, select Tools then Options to bring up the configuration screen. 4. On the Connection tab page, click Configure. 5. Select the 'inquiry' data source, and click Configure. 6. Enter the primary Host Address and Port as provided on your CD jewel case or by a Fulco technician. 7. Repeat step 6 for your secondary host address and port, if any (check with your network administrator if you are unsure of these settings). 8. Enter a timeout of 10000 if running a fast internet connection. Enter 30000 if connecting to the internet over dial-up. 9. Click OK twice to accept changes and return to the Connection tab page. 10. In the Remote service drop down, select the 'inquiry' option. 11. If connecting to a single publication, enter the 2-8 character FILE ID in the Database field. This will prevent the user from being asked which database to open. 12. Click OK to save all changes. 13. Verify all settings by connecting and opening your publication database(s).
